ABOUT THE ARTIST

I was born in Cummins, South Australia, marrying a local farmer and raising our family in this small farming community. We are now transitioning to Coffin Bay, a small beach side community that is filled with childhood memories, being a place I have always loved.

My life as an artist started with sewing, making clothing and works of art in fabric, often featuring 3D work. After creating numerous pieces I found I loved the freedom of painting instead. Through travel I have found inspiration in the beauty of nature and felt the need to put it on canvas, and hence my journey into painting began.

I work from photos, not just one but many. If my photos aren’t detailed enough, I search the internet and also research my subjects which allows me to apply finer details to my work.
